Step
One
The graphics are printed
on special high temperature films. Special inks are used that have
been designed to endure the injection molding environment
Step Two
The printed appliqué
can be formed into a 3D shape and cut to size. The appliqué
is now ready for placement in the mold. Flat appliqués may
also be used when forming is not required.
Step Three
The appliqué is
placed in a mold cavity in which plastic is injected and the appliqué becomes integrated with the new plastic part.
Step Four
The part is now completely
decorated and final assembly may take place. No secondary decorating
is required.
