If you are supplying electronic artwork
for your project, adhering to the following guidelines and tips
will help insure you receive the results you expect. Or, if you
need assistance with the creation or design of artwork, LGI’s
Art & Design team offers professional graphic design services.
Preparing Art for Submission
Color : Depending on printing process, art
may need to be submitted as process (CMYK) or spot colors.
Text : All text needs to be converted to outlines
to prevent character or font substitution. If you do not have this capability you must provide the fonts with your files.
Linked graphics : If any graphics are linked
rather than embedded in the file, please provide linked graphics
separately in one of the following formats: Adobe Photoshop (.psd),
Encapsulated Postscript (.eps), Bitmap (.bmp), joint photographic
experts group (.jpg), or Tag Image File Format (.tif).
Resolution : A minimum resolution of 300 dpi
is recommended, since lower formats may result in poor quality
reproduction.
Print ready format : Artwork should be provided
in one of the following print ready formats: Adobe Illustrator
(.ai), Adobe Portable Document File (.pdf), Corel Draw (.cdr),
Encapsulated Postscript (.eps), or Macromedia Freehand (.fh).
Bleeds : Elements that extend beyond the edge
cut (bleeds) should extend a minimum of .125” beyond the
edge cut.
