Lane Kagey of LGInternational Named President of GPI
Portland, OR, April, 28, 2010 – LGInternational announced today that Lane Kagey has been elected to serve as president of the National Association of Graphic and Product Identification Manufacturers, Inc. (GPI) for the 2010-2011 term.
Lane Kagey is the Chief Operating Officer at LGInternational where he has successfully improved operational performance and spearheaded LGI’s international expansion. Graduating from the University of Southern California, in 1986, with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Lane also attended the Executive Education Program for General Managers at the University of Michigan – Steven M. Ross School of Business.
“It is an honor to be elected as president of GPI during their 60th year. I’m looking forward to the privilege of overseeing the direction of such a prestigious organization,” said Kagey upon his election. “GPI has helped to advance our Industry by bringing leaders together to exchange innovative ideas and experiences. GPI was founded in 1951 as the Metal Etching & Fabricating Association (MEFA). With the advent of new materials, processes, products, and technologies, the trade association's name was changed to the National Association of Nameplate Manufacturers, Inc. (NAME) in 1968. In 1994, the organization became known as GPI, the National Association of Graphic and Product Identification Manufacturers. GPI provides its members with industry statistical reports, educational meeting programs, and outlets to share common problems and solutions.
